DESCRIPTION:We’ve had monthly programs around various various topics\, musical genres and artists. We’re getting ready for 2023\, but we’ve decided for January to do some of our “Leftovers”. These will be songs we’ve previously prepared for our Meetups but didn’t have the time to play them during our Meetups. Many of them were called BONUS songs in our chord sheets. So get ready for Glenn to lead us through some really great songs from our archives. \nThis Meetup be a hybrid Live Meetup at the Belmont Library and online on Zoom on Wednesday\, January 18th th at 6:00- 8:00 PM. We’re monitoring the Covid pandemic and if we need to we will eliminate our Library Live session. This will be determined the week before the Meetup. \nWe’ll also have a short ukulele music theory lesson on chords with names. We’ll look at suspended\, diminished and augmented chords and when they are used in pop music on the ukulele and why they should not be feared but to learn what a beautiful part they play in music. \nThis Meetup will have some simple and more complex songs. We’ll go over some riffs found in these songs and work on rhythm as well.
