Just before the Beatles and the British Invasion, new recordings were eminating from both the West and East Coasts. Out of Hawthorne, California were The Beach Boys and out of Newark, New Jersey came Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Each group had a number of hit records through the 60's-80's with their catchy tunes and rich harmonies. We just lost Brian Wilson last month, so rediscovering his music will be a great tribute to this great composer and musician.

The Flea Street Band teams up with Wendy and Noelle from the Nit Pickers for a super fun set, featuring many Tom Petty songs curated by Owen. Ring in the New Year with this joyful band collaboration!

These are songs that tell a story with passion, with humor, with sadness, with joy, or with lesson to teach. They come from all genres; Folk, Pop, Rock, R & B, and Country.

We're going to celebrate by playing fun, high energy dance songs! We'll play, sing and shake our tail feathers to these awesome songs as we celebrate with our treasured ukulele friends.

You can win prizes! Each table will be a team to answer questions in these categories: Bealtes in America, Songs, Albums & Singles , History, On Their Own and Movies. Categories are assigned to tables, so choose your seats carefully. This Meetup will be super fun, interesting and fast paced!

NCAL wide community effort to promote and celebrate peace, love, harmony with 14 other ukulele groups in the Spring/Summer 2026 timeframe. An emphasis on peace and love is so needed at this time. As John Lennon once said, let's give peace a chance.
