From this came the song "We Are The World" (written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie) which sold over 20 million copies worldwide and raised $80 million dollars for famine relief around the world.

    Just before the Beatles and the British Invasion, new recordings were eminating from both the West and East Coasts. Out of Hawthorne, California were The Beach Boys and out of Newark, New Jersey came Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Each group had a number of hit records through the 60's-80's with their catchy tunes and rich harmonies. We just lost Brian Wilson last month, so rediscovering his music will be a great tribute to this great composer and musician.
